Bellmain Cottage is situated in the Bell’s beautiful half acre garden – just steps from the sea and scenic beach and bush walks at Ngunguru. Ngunguru is a little coastal village situated on the Tutukaka Coast and is just 24 km from the city of Whangarei and a 3 minute drive from Tutukaka Harbour from where charter boats are available for diving the famous Poor Knights Islands Marine Reserve. Ngunguru has 2 good restaurants and a fast food outlet and it is only a short walk from Bellmain Cottage to dinner! There is a sports complex with 9-hole golf course, 3 astro turf tennis courts and outdoor bowling green.

About the Cottage:

Built 4 years ago it is a “Sunshine Home” pine walls with lovely steep ceilings and the whole ambience is one of peace. There are 2 bedrooms – 1 with a Queen bed and the other a twin. The floors are carpeted so it is cosy in winter and there is a large covered deck which faces north to the sun so provides ample living space to relax in. There is a full electric stove and the cottage is fully self contained. Towels and sheets are provided and the cottage is fully serviced. It contains an automatic washing machine and there is a double carport with clothesline provided underneath.

The surroundings are lawns and gardens with fruit trees and the environs are very private and serene with tall hedges making it your own private little green world. The entrance is off a separate driveway to that of the house. There is room for a large boat and a vehicle in the carport. Actually you can hardly see the cottage from the house as there are so many mature trees in the garden. The comments regarding the cottage have always been ecstatic and we have had many a happy honeymoon couple book in there.


Low Season Rate per night:    Tariff $130 for 2 people, $20 each extra person
High Season Rate per night:   Tariff $150 for 2 people, $20 each extra person


Availability:

The cottage is available over the summer for the above rates and is also available for a long fixed term rental in winter months starting from April through to the end of November at a lower rental to be negotiated with prospective lessee.
